Introducing the SkyHunter™ Portable EQ/AZ GoTo System, iOptron’s most compact, lightweight, and travel-friendly GoTo mount ever. Designed as a true Grab-N-Go astronomy solution, the SkyHunter™ delivers fully automated GoTo performance in both Equatorial and Alt-Azimuth modes—all in a mount that weighs less than many DSLR lenses.

Developed by iOptron, the SkyHunter™ continues the legacy of the iconic Cube™ AZ/EQ mount, refining it into the lightest full-function portable GoTo mount in iOptron’s history.

Ultra-Portable, Fully Capable

Weighing just 2.9 lbs (1.3 kg) including the internal battery, the SkyHunter™ supports a 7 lbs (3.2 kg) balanced payload in both EQ and AZ configurations. This makes it ideal for:

• Wide-field astrophotography

• DSLR / mirrorless camera tracking

• Small refractors

• Visual observing on the go

• Travel & airline-friendly setups

Despite its size, the mount delivers smooth, accurate tracking using dual-axis DC servo motors with optical encoders.

The SkyHunter™ provides four tracking rates, all operational in both Northern and Southern hemispheres:

• ½× Sky/Landscape combined

With a maximum slew speed of 4.5°/sec (1080×), targets are acquired quickly and accurately whether you’re imaging deep-sky objects, the Moon, or planets.
